This database allows you to view the top 30 classes of PRR freight cars for each of 15 selected years from 1917 to 1967. Or, you can view the quantity of a particular class on the roster over a period of years. Nearly 100 classes appear in the database, although this is not an exhaustive listing of PRR car classes. In order to appear a car class must have been in the top 30 classes of the PRR in a given year. The failure of a class to appear in a year does not necessarily mean that there are no longer any active cars of that class, but that the class has fallen from the top 30.
