The Right Paint

So you know what the PRR called the color of paint you want to apply to your model, but what brand and color of model paint would that be?

The following table shows colors picked by reputable PRR model builders that I know. Give 'em a try!

Note: Polyscale is a brand in the Floquil line which is owned by Testors.

Black Polyscale: Steam Locomotive Black OR Model Master Aircraft Interior Black. (I use the MM paint exclusively for black now) - both are not quite jet black and therefore allow details to show through. Bruce Smith
