Greg Martin Details the Athearn Genesis F7's

"PRR-Talk"'s own Greg Martin worked with Athearn on the design and production of their Genesis EMD F7 units. His own superdetailed units were featured in Athearn's ads for the product, showing the units pulling a heavy freight up the Eastern Slope around Horseshoe Curve.

Greg's models are now on display at the Altoona Railroader's Memorial Museum.

The rear lift rings were scratch build from . 015-inch styrene strip and
1/8-inch Evergreen plastic tube stock.  The Pennsy style round marker lights
on the rear of the units and both ends of the B-unit were created with .
025-inch Evergreen Styrene plastic rod.
  
The configuration on the antenna mast on the rear of the A-units will be
available as my drawings are complete from my upcoming article in MAINLINE
MODELER magazine.  I have attached a copy of a photo that may help...
