Recreating portions of the Pennsylvania Railroad in an around Harrisburg, PA in May of 1965.
To research, build, detail and operate an N scale model layout for the purpose of satisfaction and enjoyment and fellowship with others who share similar values and seek similar rewards.
This will be the fifth recreation of the PRR around Harrisburg, beginning with two basement sized layouts in HO, one with catanery; and two basement sized layouts in N scale.
Multi track mainline with engine change from electric to diesel. Large passenger, freight and engine facilities, industries. Radio control, walk around, multi-deck, computer aided.
Finished basement room 13'x25', 20' hallway for Rockville Bridge to room presently unfinished, 10'x20' for staging finished lounge, library, and bathroom.
Timetable operation of through passenger and freight. Scheduled and extra yard, turn, and local freight. Engine movements and transfer runs. Dense industrial switching. Car Card operation with wireless cabs, Computer dispatch.
Open to adults on Monday evenings 7:00-10:00. Junior and Associate members soon on first Friday 6:00-9:00. Light refreshments always available.
