Wanted: Serious model railroaders interested in building and operating a miniature transportation system. The Cornwall Railroad is an HO scale, DCC controlled model railroad. It is a walk-around layout in a heated 24' by 48' basement. The railroad will eventually have a complete signalling system, two turntables, and several local switching areas. We are in need of modelers interested in realistic operation using a car-card system and eventually ShipIt! traffic generator. Some scale modeling experience is required as well as the capability to work unsupervised. Most tools and materials will be provided but personal tools can be used. Currently all mainline trackage is installed.
I intend to have one operating session per month with two work sessions per month. Road trips to Timonium are regular events. Also, the "Mungbusters" are part of a regular operating crew on Larry Reynolds' PRR Pittsburgh Division featuring helper action around Horseshoe Curve. This is a golden opportunity for someone without the space for the "dream" layout. No monetary obligation, dues, or club "politics". All skill levels are welcome. Other benefits include trips to Jim Hertzog's Reading Railroad and lots of fun.
