Steubenville, Ohio

The area surrounding Steubenville, Ohio, is rolling hills sloping down to the Ohio River valley. Steubenville Station is small, considering the number of trains and the amount of passenger traffic that is handled. The double track main line runs from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, through the Ohio River valley and there are a lot of small towns similar to Steubenville. This is coal and steel country and many mills are present with the abundance of water and natural resources.
A local passenger train is approaching the curve just southwest of Steubenville, Ohio. This is a local passenger train, #E400, which runs from Columbus, Ohio, through to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It stops at all the small towns and picks up passengers and baggage. The Consolidation 2-8-0 is usually not on this train as it is ost commonly run with a K4 Pacific locomotive.
