Hobo's Guide to the Pennsy

This guide represents a community effort to document the history of the Pennsylvania Railroad, including all of her branches and ancestor lines.

Review of the branch histories is presented several ways:

Alphabetic Edition - Presents histories in an alphabetic listing of track segments. This is the original version of the Hobo's Guide.

1954 Edition - Presents histories via a Region/Division/Branch outline, with station listings in addition to guides.

Volunteer Opportunities

If you would like to become an editor for a branch history, please contact Jerry Britton to volunteer. Here are the guidelines (not here yet) for editing a branch history.

Keystone Crossings would be more than happy to post an Edition for other eras. This would require someone to take on the task of creating the outline listing of Region/Division/Branch for the particular era. Access to a full set of employee timetables would be required. A committee could take on such a project, but one person must act as its chair. A knowledge of HTML editing is required, with advanced knowledge of creating tables. The good news is that you can link from the outline index to the existing branch histories from the Alphabetic Edition page. Please contact Jerry Britton to volunteer.
